Cookie Policy

1.- BACKGROUND

In accordance with the Spanish regulations governing the use of cookies in relation to the provision of electronic communication services, set out in Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce, we inform you about the cookies used on the website of GRUPAJES ALICANTE, S.L. and the reason for their use.

2.- WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. Cookies allow a website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user’s or device’s browsing habits and, depending on the information they contain and the way the device is used, they can be used to recognize the user. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and their computer or device and do not provide references that would allow for personal data to be obtained.

3.- TYPES OF COOKIES

3.1.- According to the entity that manages them

a.- Own cookies: These are those sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the publisher and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

b.- Third-party cookies: These are those sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

3.2.- According to their purpose

There are many reasons for using cookies. Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through cookies is processed, the purposes may be as follows:

a) Technical cookies: These allow the user to navigate through a website, platform, or application and use the different options or services that exist on it, including those that the publisher uses to manage and operate the website and enable its functions and services. For example, these cookies control traffic and data communication, identify the session, access restricted access areas, remember the elements of an order, process an order purchase, manage payment, control fraud related to the security of the service, request registration or participation in an event, count visits for software license billing (website, platform, or application), use security elements during navigation, store content for video or sound broadcasting, enable dynamic content (e.g., text or image loading animation), or share content through social networks.

Technical cookies are exempt from the obligations established in Article 22.2 of the LSSI when they allow the service requested by the user to be provided, as is the case with the cookies listed above. However, if these cookies are also used for purposes not exempt (e.g., for behavioral advertising purposes), they will be subject to these obligations.

b) Preference or personalization cookies: These allow remembering information so that the user can access the service with certain characteristics that differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as language, the number of results displayed when a search is performed, the appearance or content of the service based on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service, or the region from which the service is accessed, etc. If the user selects these characteristics (e.g., choosing the website language by clicking on the corresponding country’s flag), cookies will be exempt from the obligations of Article 22.2 of the LSSI as they are considered a service expressly requested by the user, provided that the cookies respond exclusively to the selected purpose.

c) Analytics or measurement cookies: These allow the responsible party to monitor and analyze the behavior of users of the websites to which they are linked, including quantifying the impacts of advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure website, application, or platform activity, in order to make improvements based on the analysis of the usage data made by users of the service.

d) Behavioral advertising cookies: These store information on the behavior of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows for the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it.

3.3.- According to the duration of time they remain active

a) Session cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. They are generally used to store information that is only relevant for providing the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g., a list of products purchased), and they disappear when the session ends.

b) Persistent cookies: These are those where the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie’s controller, which may range from a few minutes to several years.

4.- LIST OF COOKIES USED BY THIS WEBSITE
